While some people promote changing from an ‘either…or….’ mindset to a ‘both…and….’, I promote caution. I found myself doing both of what seemed mutually exclusive and it took its toll on my health and ultimately I prefer to choose one. Sequencing priorities can help.

I know I could earn money writing, but I also know that doing other work I think important might cover my finances fast enough to leave me that freedom to write how I want.
