A poem about Nature the Dictator

Nature distills herself clear
If you listen you will hear
If you breathe you will scents
If you look you will see
If you stop she will cherish
If you open she will nourish

If you don’t
She will shout
She will roar

For

Nature the dictator
Is knocking at your door
Will you pretend not to hear?
Is scorching at your lungs
Will you pay to breathe?
Is blazing in your eyes
Will you filter?
Is gouging through your organs
Will you medicate?
Is flooding down your throat
Will you puke as quietly as you can
Into a plastic bag you will put out
For trash next Tuesday?

Tortuous karma
Hide or seek?

Three…
two…
one…

Ready or not
Nature the dictator is
Knocking at your door

How long can you stay hiding for?

A UN report “Preventing the Next Pandemic

Seven human-mediated factors are most likely driving the emergence of zoonotic diseases: 1) increasing human demand for animal protein; 2) unsustainable agricultural intensification; 3) increased use and exploitation of wildlife; 4) unsustainable utilization of natural resources accelerated by urbanization, land use change and extractive industries; 5) increased travel and transportation; 6) changes in food supply; and 7) climate change.
